STC Lallaguda

The institute  was established in the year 1976 as "Technical Training Centre" and  subsequently named as Supervisors' Training Centre from 21.09.1978. The geographical area of STC comprises of  about 7 acres (34963 Sq.Yards) centrally located in Secunderabad. The institute is enveloped by gardens, breeze  of various trees and bushes and enlivened by chirping of birds with peaceful  and Gurukul environment for systematic learning. All mandatory courses are conducted as per  the Training Modules approved by the Railway Board as well as various need  based programmes to meet the training needs of Supervisors of various  departments viz., Mechanical, Stores etc. of not only South Central Railway but  also adjoining Zonal Railways and Production Units of ICF & RWF of Southern  Region.

            - First aid kits available at Hostel and at Training centre.


     

    Hostel and Mess Facility

    STC Hostel Campus consists of 32 self contained furnished rooms accommodated with 122 beds capacity.  Out of which 6 rooms with attached bathrooms is earmarked for the use of lady trainees.  A separate mess is being run by  the trainees only on no profit & no loss basis to cater the needs of lunch & supper to the hostel trainees. The trainees manage the hostel mess collectively, which is equipped with sufficient cooking gadgets and spaciously furnished seating arrangements.   

    The space provided is sufficient cater to around 40 trainees in the Dining Hall under one roof at a time.    For the purpose of recreation of trainees a 21” colour TV is provided with cable connection and DVD player in the Hostel.   A recreation room is available which is equipped with indoor game equipment like Carom board, Chess etc.    Extra curricular activities like Yoga & Meditation, Gymnasium etc are encouraged.

    Computer Awareness Programme

    This course is ideal for all new users of computers. It is purely practical  oriented course.  The content of the course includes  fundamentals of computers, accessories of computers,  MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, E-mail etc.  All will be explained and make practice to the participants.
