Wagon Workshop, Guntupalli

Popularly referred to as Rayanapadu Workshop, this workshop is located  12 Kms from Vijayawada Station (in between the well known Kondapalli and Rayanapadu Railway Stations) on the Vijayawada – Kazipet Railway Section 

This workshop’s Core activity is thorough Overhauling of Railway Goods Wagons Periodically,  to ensure their smooth running till the next due date of periodicity.  Assistance is also rendered to the maintenance Depots located at important junctions, by carrying out activities like repairs to Wheels, Bogies and other components.

The decisions are taken by the authorities are based on different rules and manuals like Purchase Rules, Medical Attendance & Treatment Rules, Vacation and Leave Rules, House Allotment Rules, SOP, Pass Rule, Medical Rules.

A Permanent Negotiation Machinery exists at Wagon Workshop for consultation with representatives of Trade Unions:

As part of this machinery, 6 (six) meetings are conducted every year with each of the Two Organised Labour i.e. South Central Railway Employees Sangh & South Central Railway Employees Mazdoor Union

With public:

 These are available in the form of ZRUCC at Zonal Level and DRUCC at Divisions.  Since our workshop is not directly related to trains running duties, besides no interaction with the public, these meetings are not relevant.
