We are proud that we achieved 5S Certification from Quality Circle Forum of India in the month of June, 2016.


SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES IN PLACE

1.“nTrain” (the Nursing Service Quality Improvement Initiative):This is a key driver for better patient outcomes by a targeted approach primarily to close the knowledge gaps and to achieve service quality improvement and better patient outcomes.

2.Improving punctuality: through Biometric Attendance System linked to nic.in

3.Security enhancement: through CCTV surveillance system.

4.Expenditure control: through initiatives like control of overtime allowance.

5.Equipment overhaul: to reduce total cost of ownership, reduce downtime and the attendant patient care issues. Medical Equipment worth Rs 6, 32,300 was purchased in the month of March, 2016, with funds provided by M/s REAPS. These equipments include suction apparatuses, infusion pumps, auto CPAP machines, semi-auto analyzers, vein finders, multi parameter monitors, and neonatal probes.

6.Medical Record Archiving, Storage, and Retrieval

All Inpatient records from 2006 to date are archived and computerized.

7.Social obligations

a.Blood donation camps done regularly; Number of blood units collected: 228

b.Organ (eye) donation pledges obtained:73

c.The Paediatric ward renovation was done with inputs like toys play things and children’s story books from SCR Women’s Welfare Organization, BZA on 26/01/2016.

8.Hospital Committees:

a.Hospital Committee: Towards the goal of introducing Transparency and Good Governance Practices into the day-to-day operations.

b.Stores Committee: For realizing expenditure control and optimal resource utilization.

9.Hospital Operations Management through Standard Operating Protocols:

We have prepared Audit Protocols for Hospital Deaths, and Laboratory Usage.

10.Building renovation:

Major renovation works have been undertaken in the hospital like dispensary renovation, COT renovation, OPD renovation, and Laboratory renovation which includes shifting it downstairs for patient convenience.
