Hon'ble Secretary to Railway board Shri P.C.Gajbhiye has inspected Secunderabad station and SrDCM/SC's office on 20-09-2014.
Finance Commissioner, Railway Board Inspection:
Finance Commissioner, Railway Board Smt Rashmi Kapoor has inspected SC station on 06-09-2014 in regard to Passenger amenities and cleanliness at station.
The passenger traffic for the month is 9.92 Million against 11.05 Millions during corresponding month of previous year registering a decrease of 10.23 %.
The Total passenger Earnings for the month are 95.38 crores as against Rs. 94.64 crores during corresponding month of previous year registering an increase of 0.78 %.
The UTS passenger traffic for the month is 8.70 Millions as against 9.62 Million during corresponding month of previous year registering a decrease of 9.56 %.
The UTS passenger earnings for the month are Rs. 31.02 crores against Rs. 26.25 crores during corresponding month of previous year registering an increase of 18.17 %.
The PRS passenger traffic for the month is 1.22 Millions as against 1.43 Million during corresponding month of previous year registering a decrease of 14.69%.
The PRS passenger earnings for the month are Rs. 65.16 crores against Rs. 68.39 crores during corresponding month of previous year registering a decrease of 4.72%.
Online booking of Retiring Rooms :
Online booking of retiring rooms has commenced at 3 station i.e., HYB, WL and PRLI from 25-09-2014.
Pay & Use Toilets:
The Contract for Maintenance of Pay and Use toilets at KDM station has been awarded in favour of Shri K.Jayram for a period of 3 months from 23-06-2014 to 22-09-2014.
Face to Face Enquiry :
The contract for Outsourcing of face to face & Telephonic enquiries , updating/ operation of CIB,TIB, CGB’s and other allied works pertaining to passenger announcements and information of SC, HYB, BMT & LPI stations has been awarded in favour of M/s S S Security force and maintenance service, Hyderabad for a period of one year.
The goods loading for the month is 4.86 Million Tons as against 4.87 Million Tons during this month of 2013 registering a decrease of 0.21 %.
The goods earnings for the month is Rs. 309.25 crores as compared to Rs. 262.31 crores during this month of 2013 with an increase of 17.89 % .
During the month, a total of 1378 rakes were loaded compared to 1327 rakes during the corresponding period of last year of different commodities from various locations over SC division.
During the month, a total of 788 rakes as compared to 822 rakes during corresponding period of last year were unloaded at various locations over SC division.
Freight rates have been revised w.e.f 25.06.2014:
An increase of 6.47 % in freight has been introduced.
Minimum chargeable distance has been increased from 100 kms to 125 kms.
Graded concessions on traffic below 100 kms has been withdrawn.
Opening of New Siding:
A new private siding by M/s Jaypee Balaji Cement plant served by Revoor Rasmapuram Station i.e. between JPTN - MACU section is opened for Outward Cement traffic and Inward Coal traffic in train loads /Wagon loads w.e.f 30-08-2013.
Repeatability test on Electronic - in - motion weigh bridges:
Repeatability test on Electronic-in-motion weigh bridge was done at CT on 06-12-2013.
Flagging off new Train:
A new Rail li8ne between Khanapur and Humnabad was commissioned by Hon'ble Mr. Shri Mallikarjun Kharge in presence of the other dignitaries and Railway officers on 30-12-2013.

A new rail line between Khanapur and Humnabad was commissioned by Hon'ble MR Shri Mallikarjun Kharge in presence of the other dignitaries and railway officers on 30-12-2013.
Conducting of DRUCC:
156th DRUCC meeting was help on 30-12-2013 at DRM conference hall. Out of the total 29 members, 20 members were present during the meeting and discussed various matters related to passenger grievances.
This is the 3rd meeting conducted for the term 01-02-2013 to 28-02-2015.
Free catering arrangements has been arranged for 350 passengers travelling by T.No.16594 (SBC-NED) on 28-12-2013 at TDU which was effected at Kottacheruvu railway station due to fire accident, in co-ordination with Marvadi Yuva Manch Organisation / TDU.
Leasing of Parcel space:
During this month, 01 VPH and 23 SLRs have been awarded for a period of five years at an annual revenue of Rs. 0.49 crores.
During this month, cleanliness inspections conducted by the inspectors /Supervisors and an amount of Rs : 3,06,800/- lakhs was realized in the form of penalty against 1534 cases.
During this month, the number of catering inspections done by officers and inspectors is 143 . An amount of Rs 22,320/-were realized in the form of penalties.
Passenger operated Baggage Trolley:
Contract for Provision of Passenger operated Baggage Trolley at SC station on PF 1 & 10 was awarded for a period of 1 year.
During the month, Ticket checking earnings are Rs. 3.00 crores as against Rs. 2.15 crores during the corresponding month of the previous year registering an increase of 39.81%.
During the Current financial year up to this month, Ticket Checking earnings are Rs. 14.65 Crores as against Rs. 13.43 Crores during the corresponding period of the previous year registering an increase 9.11 %.
PASSENGER COMPLAINTS :
During the month, complaints recorded through SMS were 49 as against 84 complaints registering a decrease of 42% when compared with corresponding period of the last year.
Complaints recorded in the complaints/suggestion books, 21 as against 24 complaints registering an decrease of 12% when compared with corresponding period of previous year.
Ten employees was issued SF-XI.
Four employee was issued warning letters.
Inspections on cleanliness were conducted by the Officers & Inspectors/Supervisors and 1869 cases registered and ann amount of Rs. 3,73,800/- were realised in the form of penalty.
During the month, an amount of Rs. 3.90 lakh was realized in the form of License fees from various catering units.
