Unauthorised occupation of Railway Quarters

Occupying a Railway Quarter without proper sanction/authority is treated as ‘un-authorized’ and attracts the following action.

 

Serving Employees

vRecovery of damage rent for the period of unauthorized occupation

vInitiation of eviction proceedings

Retired Employees/ Family of deceased employees

vWithholding of entire DCRG (Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity) till the vacation of the Quarter.

vRecovery of damage rate of rent for the entire period of unauthorized retention.

vWithholding of one set of Post Retirement Complimentary Pass for every month of unauthorized retention.  This will have recurring effect as Post Retirement Complimentary Pass is allowed only after the period during which forfeited passes would have been admissible is over.

 

 

Rates of Damage rent for unauthorized occupation of Railway accommodation

Damage rent is levied for unauthorized occupation of a Railway Quarter by serving/retired employees is calculated on the plinth area of the quarter. Existing rates of damage rent as circulated vide CPO/SC’s Serial Circular No. 51/05 are as under.
