63rd DRUCC Meeting held at Hyderabad Division

63rdDivisional Railway Users Consultative Committee Meeting (DRUCC)of Hyderabad Division, South Central Railway was held today i.e., 23rd January, 2019 at Divisional Railway Manager’s Conference Hall, Hyderabad Bhavan, Secunderabad chaired by Shri Arun Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager. Shri N. Srinivas Raju, Additional Divisional Railway Manager/Operations, Shri P.V.Sai Prasad, Additional Divisional Railway Manager/Infra, Shri A. Sridhar, Secretary & Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and other Branch Officers of Hyderabad Division were also present in the meeting. This is the third meeting of the present Committee. Out of 14 nominated Members, 09 Members attended the meeting.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, highlighted the financial performance of the division during the current financial year 2018-19 (till December, 2018) and variousdevelopment activitiestaken up over the division such as Provision of toilets for Divyang all over the Division, Lift at Kurnool city station, Provision of Coach and Train indication at Dharmabad and Mahbubnagar Railway stations, Cloak Room facility o­n platform No. 1 along with 100- Feet Tall National Flag hoisted at the main entrance of Kacheguda Railway station, Provision of Sanitary Napkin cum incinerator at Kurnool City, Nizamabad and Kacheguda Railway stations.

Apart from these, He also briefed the members about the various innovative ideas such as provision of Mobile Digital Movie Theatre at eight stations, Provision of 12 Smart Massage Chairs at Kacheguda Railway station, Conversion of Retiring Rooms into Fresh up Rooms with modern facilities. Further, Shri Arun Kumar Jain appraised about the other development works such as elimination of 08 Level Crossing this financial year, Raising, Extension & Augmentation of Platforms as well as extension of Foot over Bridges and Lifts at various Stations.

The members expressed their satisfaction over the developmental activities undertaken by the division and appreciated the efforts made for meeting the earlier demands of the passengers and getting various works sanctioned. They represented for early introduction of MMTS Phase –II over Malkajgiri- Bolarum section, introduction of new trains, running of special trains during festival season, extension of trains upto Karimnagar and stoppage of trains at Malkajgiri, Umri, Shadnagar and Dharmabad stations.

The Chairman assured the members that their suggestions/representations will be examined within the guidelines/norms in force and action will be taken accordingly.
