South Central Railway has dispatched more relief material to the flood hit locations continuing with its mission “Join Hands for Kerala” to reach out to the people of flood affected state. Collection and segregation of relief materials is planned meticulously and is being loaded in Luggage & parcel vans under the supervision of Senior Railway Officials. Relief material is loaded today i.e., 22ndAugust, 2018 by Train No. 07119 Secunderabad – Kochuveli Special Train and Train No. 17230 Sabari Express bound to Kerala. SCR Officials are in close co-ordination with the Kerala State Government Officials for proper disposal at the selected destinations and also taking feedback on relief material required further at flood affected areas.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division along with officials supervised the loading of relief material of around 36 tonnes. Shri N. Srinivasa Raju & Shri P.V.Sai Prasad Additional Divisional Railway Managers, Hyderabad Division and other officials were also present during the loading of material at Secunderabad Station by Special Train bound to Kerala.
ØSCR received around 15 tons of relief material from Shri Satyanarayana, District Collector, Kurnool which includes 10000 kgs boiled rice; 1000 kg raw rice; 588 kgs red gram dal; 347 kgs atta; 250 kgs bambino; 269 kgs rawa; 531 kg salt; 145 kgs red chilli powder and other daily use items)
ØSCR received around 13.5 tons of Milk Powder sent by Shri Ronald Ross, District Collector, Mahbubnagar.
ØThe other items contributed by Railway Officers and Staff of Head Quarters area include such as Rice, Dal, Oil, Bags containing general items, Biscuits, New Clothes & Gum Boots, Bleaching Powder, Phenol, Mobs, Brooms etc.,
ØSCR also loaded 8 tonnes of Rice bags at Guntur Railway Station by Sabari Express to aid the flood affected areas of Kerala.
