Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, GM/SCR Presents Man of the Month Awards to Dedicated and Alert Staff

Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railwaypresented “Man of the Month” safety awards to Tenemployees who performed duty with dedication and alertness and taken timely action to prevent unsafe conditions. He conducted review meeting o­n improvement of safety, punctuality, loading, station re-development and elimination of Unmanned Level Crossings etc today i.e., o­n 9th July, 2018 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri John Thomas, Additional General Manger and Principal Heads of Departments also participated the meeting. The Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.

Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav instructed the officials to improve the punctuality performance duly ensuring safety by closely monitoring the late running of passenger trains and asset failures which are leading to loss of punctuality. o­n safety head, he instructed all the staff and officials to carefully monitor each and every aspect of minor failures like weld failures, track fitting works and yard derailments etc which are leading to loss of punctuality as well as affecting the safety. Further all the DRMs briefed o­n o­ngoing infrastructural and passenger amenity works over the zone including elimination of unmanned level crossings (UMLCs). General Manager instructed the officials to monitor the works related to UMLCs and to accord priority for completion at the earlier possible.

General Manager further reviewed the works related to Guntakal Station re-development, Gudur station yard re-modeling and automatic coach washing plants yet to be set up at Kacheguda, Secunderabad and Hyderabad stations and station cleanliness etc. He discussed o­n the proposals for extensions of Platform 4 and 5 at Lingampalli station to accommodate more trains and instructed to speed up the other associated works also.
