Training Program held for Railway staff to improve Customer Interaction Skill and Passenger satisfaction


 

Railway Board has directed that all employees of Indian Railways should be put through training for development of skills and knowledge relevant to their work area over the next o­ne year under ‘Project Saksham”.

 

Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway has been according top priority to implement “Project Saksham” for skill development of the staff over the Zone. Accordingly, Commercial Department of South Central Railway has prepared module consisting of training in improving Inter-personal skills, Managerial skills, Behavioral Skills, Customer Management, Public Image, Office Procedure, Importance of manuals /tariffs/ circulars/ agreements/ tenders, Challenges faced by staff posted in field, how to overcome these challenges,etc. All the officers of Commercial Department as well as Instructors in Zonal Railway Training Institute, Moulali are nominated for conducting training sessions. Staff are being deputed batch-wise for training and till date 1295 staff have been imparted training out of total strength of 5305 staff.

 

Shri M.G.Sekharam, Principal Chief Comemrcial Manager has conducted session o­n ‘Life Skills’ & Dr.B.S.Christopher, Chief Commercial Manager (Catering & Passenger Services) has held session o­n ‘Leadership” to the commercial staff during the training program held o­n 23rdand 24th June 2018. Several case studies of real time experiences in passenger amenities were discussed elaborately during the sessions with an aim to improve customer interaction skills, accountability, passenger satisfaction and coordination/team work with other departments.
